I had the chance today to talk to a veteran rep here in the Rockies, Denise Arnette. Not only has she been repping for over 10 plus years but she is at the top of her game while juggling being a mom and pregnant with number two. She has been a sales rep for Dragon for 9 years and is very knowledgeable of the goggle and sunglass world. I asked her to give me tips on fitting goggles and what to look for when making your choice in the vast world of eye protection. In addition, she gave me her favorite style, why Dragon loves Leanne Pelosi and one of the many mantras Dragon boasts to set them apart from the competition. Thanks, Denise, for your support of of the ahlivv team!
| Denise’s Goggle Fit Guide:
Fit is the most important when it comes to goggles. Make sure the goggle is sealed all around your face and that there are no gaps. In addition if you wear a helmet to ski or snowboard, make sure your helmet is compatible with your goggle lenses. Double Lens: This is a double barrier needed to prevent and eliminate fogging while you are on the mountain. Lens Color: Dragon (and most goggle companies) are offering 2 separate lenses that can be interchanged with your goggle purchase:
Lens Shape: Dragon offers 2 types of lenses
Venting: This is needed to prevent fogging. Dragon has a “uni-directional system” that supplies airflow. Adjustable Strap: Make sure you have this on a thick strong strap to help perfect your fit, and last for the life of your goggles. Triple Layer Face Foam: Not only is this for comfort and fit, but it gives your goggles breathability in a hyper allergenic fabric. Scratch Resistant: Dragon knows goggles are not taken care of that well all the time, between road trips to the mountain, to shoving them in your backpack…it can be tough to be a ski goggle. So they have supplied scratch resistant coating to help us all out. Anti fog Coating: This is added to help the venting and double lens to eliminate fogging while you are killin it on those cold days! Helmet Compatibility: Make sure your goggles fit with your helmet so that all the above-mentioned technology gives you comfort and protection while you ski or snowboard. Denise’s Favorite Dragon Goggle: “The Rogue-not only does it have a polycarbonate spherical lens’ but it “styley” with an insane fit” Dragon Hearts Leanne Pelosi: “She has carved her way to stardom and we have given Leanne her own pro model to celebrate and represent her success! We LOVE Leanne!” Top Selling Style for Dragon: The DX Goggle Frame, it is a flat lens but has a bigger look with great color options and great price. It is the #1 Dragon goggle for men and women alike. 15 Years and Going Strong: “We (Dragon) utilize our team riders and our 15 years of experience of R & D along with technology from NASA. The result has given us our own super anti-fog technology that lasts twice as long as our competitors” ALLYSON RHOADS |
