Ladies, Meet ahlivv!

So, you must be wondering where we’ve been, and what we’ve been up to over the past few months. Well, in light of this crazy economic downturn, and downright negative energy, the girls of Core decided to take a sabbatical to the majestic mountains of Pennsylvania. Of course, by the time we arrived, the snow season had just ended. But, we were not about to let a little mud and rain ruin our soul searching journey. So, we gathered around the campfire, sang combayah, chanted some ‘ohms’, did group plyometrics and started our journey of discovering our true selves.

We think you’ll be happy with our findings, as we have discovered new ways to get to know you on a more personal level. Let’s start with our name…Ladies, we are ahlivv! After much careful thought, LOTS of bonding (see above notes on sabbatical), chocolate binges and trips to the coffee shop, there she was…ahlivv. ahlivv (pronounced AH-live), is the most basic symbol for life and peace. If you are anything like us, and we think you are, your love of action sports, and the lifestyle that goes with it, runs in your blood – it is your lifeline. We find peace with nature, and are more than happy with some good snow, a nice wave, or jib-ready park bench…and of course live for those bluebird days. And, we look hot while we do it. ahlivv is the place where your inner tomboy can meet your inner fashionista, without compromising either. We hope you feel inspired by visiting our site, as you continue to inspire us here at ahlivv.

You see, being a girl this day in age can be difficult. Between the long days at the office, running to pick up the little ones, keeping in shape, and trying to maintain some semblance of a social life, it’s easy to forget what makes YOU truly happy. So, that’s what we set out to find, and in the process, discovered our new identity. We decided that what we’d really enjoy is a place we could visit for some straight to the point, no-nonsense, no BS info. At ahlivv, you can find genuine product reviews, unique brands, and blogs on things that actually matter to you, like snow conditions, info on how to buy the right outerwear, ways to go green within a budget, and more. Plus, we want to hear from you. What else can expect to see? We want to know what you’re up to, why you love action sports and fashion, and how your on-hill look compares to your street look. Who knows, you might see yourself featured on the site! Also, make sure you are visiting us regularly so you don’t miss one of our contests.

ahlivv -The Bright Side
Here at ahlivv, we are choosing to see the glass half full. Sure, the economy is at an unprecedented low, since Great Depression, and sure, maybe some of our disposable income (aka: fun money) has also taken a hit. But, did you know that half of all girls who participate in some kind of sport experience higher than average levels of self-esteem (Colton, M. & Gore, S.
